Biographical or Historical Note: Georgie Willis Glenn was a educator who served as a representative to the United Nations for the World Organization for Early Childhood Education. She was a member of the boards of Haverford College and the William Penn Charter School. Her husband, John David Glenn, was a faculty member and principal of Simon Gratz High School. Their daughter Beverly Ann Glenn-Copeland is a singer/songwriter.
Scope and Content Note: This is a small collection of correspondence and other miscellaneous documents related to the careers of Georgie and John Glenn. The collection also contains articles and reviews on Beverly Glenn-Copeland, as well as a phonograph record of her music. In addition, there is a small batch of documents related to a Hanks-Turner family reunion and a Glenn-Carter family tree.
